RADaptor Installation Instructions
Attention!
Ahem, sorry about that, but we just want to reiterate that you follow the instructions on this page to ensure your RADaptors are correctly and safely installed. — failing to do so could lead to serious damage to your bike and/or being seriously injured.

Tools Needed
- 4mm Hex (Allen) Wrench
- 6mm Hex (Allen) Wrench
- 8mm Open-end Wrench
- Bike stand (optional)
- Thread locker blue (optional)
Step by Step
- Work on one side of the bike at a time with the rear wheel and axle in place to facilitate mounting your RADaptors.
- The dropout is secured by two M8 bolts with cone washers. Remove them — set them aside and DO NOT re-use them.
- Clean the dropout area thoroughly.
- Place one RADaptors so its slots line up with the slots in the frame, then secure it using the two M8 bolts and flat washers supplied in the hardware kit (finger tight).
- Repeat steps 2-4 on the other side of the bike.
- Mount the rack to the upper eyelets of the bike frame using the hardware that came with your rack (finger tight).
- Check brake caliper clearance if you're mounting to the inside of the RADaptors.
- Mount the rack to the RADaptor eyelet using the supplied M5 bolt, flat washer, two split ring washers (inside & outside), and the lock nut.
- IMPORTANT! When satisfied with your rack alignment, tighten all the bolts to the manufacturer's recommended torque specs.
- For the M8 bolts, this is usually in the ballpark of 25-30 NM.
- For the M5 bolts, this is usually in the ballpark of 4-6 NM.
- For the M5 hex nuts, good-n-tight should suffice.
Check Bolt Setback
To ensure bolts are safely engaged and will not interfere with your chain, they should be set back about 0.8mm (1/32") measured from the inner face of the dropout.

Congratulations!
We hope you enjoy your new setup! Go have an adventure. Ride Far Out!
