Compatibility with Your BIKE

Before purchasing, make sure you can answer "YES" to these three points...

  1. Your bike frame is metal (Steel, Aluminum, Titanium).

  2. The rear dropouts on your bike utilize two M8 (8mm) bolts on each side.

  3. The RADaptors will be able to sit flush against the bike frame without anything interfering as pictured below...

Compatibility with Your RACK

Racks are made in many different sizes — it's important to measure your rack — and using RADaptors will lower the racks a substantial amount. Take two quick measurements...

  1. First, measure the vertical distance between the lower rack mount and the bottom of the rack platform, as pictured below.

  2. Now, measure the vertical distance between the center of your dropout bolts to the top of the tire.

  3. CLEARANCE between rack and tire (with RADaptors installed) is found by subtracting the second measurement from the first.

  4. The CLEARANCE you calculated above must be positive and preferably half an inch to an inch (12-25mm).

  5. NOT ENOUCH CLARANCE? RADaptor-2 may help. Its upper mounting point adds an inch (25mm) more clearance.
